On the afternoon of May 14, at room 104 of General Building, SSPU held symposium of students whose houses are in earthquake-stricken area of Sichuan province. SSPU secretary of Party Committee Xu Peili、president Hu Shougen、vice secretary of Party Committee Li Shiping and so on attended the symposium. The symposium was presided over by section chief of the Student Department Jing Xiaofeng.

 

    SSPU secretary of Party Committee Xu Peili and president Hu Shougen delivered speeches in the symposium. On May 12, grade-8.0 earthquake took place in Wenchuan County of Sichuan province. It is a severe calamity. At present, the whole country is responding to General Secretary Hu Jintao’s call to combat the earthquake and do relief work. The whole SSPU teachers and students have already actively gone to move now, contributed money and donated things to support earthquake-stricken area. The students whose native place is Sichuan province got sincere solicitude from SSPU leaders.

 

    Student representatives also made speeches in the symposium. They expressed their appreciations to all the people who care for them and would make great effort to study hard and serve our motherland worthily.
