| Cooperative Agreement With SUSSEX University
On May 24 to June 3, 2005, president Hu Shougen negotiated on cooperative running school with SUSSEX university in UK and signed successfully an agreement on framework of cooperative running school , with the delegation members including Xu Xianguang , vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Jiang Chuanqun , dean of the School of Computer & Information, Liu Wei , secretary of the Party committee of the School of Mechanical & Electronic Engineering , Li Xia , deputy director of the president office .
Running school with SUSSEX university , the well-known university of top 10 universities in UK , top 20 in European countries , top 60 in the world , plays an important role in advancing the level of SSPU running school and promoting international collaborative project. The delegation planned to build a ¡°2+2¡± undergraduate cultivation project cooperatively with the negotiation in-depth and within fine limits with the hierarchy leaders and members in various fields. Meanwhile , two universities hoped to strengthen the cooperation in the fields of education and academic research , develop joint R& D and support staff to visit each other. On June 22 , president Hu Shougen presided over China-England SUSSEX programe promoting meeting attended by Meng Zhaoshang , head of the Foreign Affairs Office , Xu Xianguang , vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages , Jiang Chuanqun , dean of the School of Computer & Information, HeYafei ,dean of the School of Mechanical & Electronic Engineering , Zhou Zhengxin , dean of the School of Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Li Xia, deputy director of the president¡¯s office . The startup and implementation of the China-England collaborative project as soon as possible were disposed carefully in the meeting. |
